Markets

For bargain hunters and browsers, there are regular markets in Los Cristianos (near the Arona Gran on Sunday mornings) and in the car park opposite Centro Comercial El Duque in Costa Adeje on Thursdays and Saturdays.

Brands

For recognised brands and high street names, you can’t compete with Las Americas – the shops near the dive centre being just one of several commercial centres worth visiting.

Local independent shops

Los Cristianos is the place for independent local retailers, the street of Avenida Suecia being the hub, particularly for fashion.

Out of town

Close to Santa Cruz there are a number of out of town shopping malls such as Al Campo and Carrefour. You can spend a day in here without seeing daylight except at the bottom of your purse!

Head for the shops around Plaza de la Candelaria for city chic, or to the island’s largest department store, El Corte Ingles, for everything under one roof.
